On the initial page, meticulous data transformations laid the groundwork for constructing an insightful application pipeline and tracking application statuses. Leveraging a combination of DAX measures and columns, I meticulously calculated each stage of the application journey, allowing stakeholders to discern the flow of applicants through the pipeline. Additionally, the implementation of percentage loss calculations at each stage provided stakeholders with a tangible understanding of attrition points, enabling targeted interventions to bolster enrollment rates. The visual depiction of these insights left a positive impression on stakeholders, offering a clear roadmap for optimizing the application process.
Transitioning to the second page, the focus shifted to international applications, necessitating a tailored analysis to comprehend the diverse landscape of student demographics. Employing DAX tables, I meticulously grouped applications by country, enabling a granular examination of application volumes from different regions. By crafting measures to calculate acceptance rates for both international and domestic applications, I provided stakeholders with actionable insights into the comparative success rates across diverse applicant pools. Through the creation of visually appealing visualizations and dashboards, I facilitated an intuitive exploration of international student applications, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding recruitment strategies and resource allocation.
Overall, this Power BI project showcased my proficiency in data analysis and visualization, as well as my ability to derive actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making within the educational domain.
